Christmas day in Les Gets- it snowed like anything Christmas eve so all woke up to white slopes and blue skies. Can’t really say it was actually a white Christmas though. The resort was 3/4 open slopes groomed well and lots of people enjoying.
Our usual Chrsistmas day started with serving our guests a salmon and scrambled egg breakfast ready for them to spend their day skiing. We then spent the next hour prepping the vegetables and sorting the turkey.
After we got ready to head to our own Christmas lunch with a group of friends, 10 of us in all. The fancy dress theme this season was “All around the world.”
Carly made a half moon and fixed a star to herself whist Mally went as a satellite. His costume took us 2 hours to make Christmas morning – managing to up cycle the silver wrapping paper from our presents (thanks sis!). Mally soon found that it was very hard to get onto a chair lift, or put gloves on let alone have a drink. The costume was discarded for our meal quite quickly but it did make it back home.
We had a great Christmas lunch at the Vaffeu sitting in our own private room up some very ricky stairs. ski boots making it even more difficult.
We eventually headed home rather full and a little merry. Our guests were then looking forward to their own Christmas dinner which we had prepared.
The evening was spent eating, drinking and playing games
A good day had by all..
