Skiing Les Gets today was very baltic at-minus 11C in the village and that’s before you head out on a chairlift. Great blue skies and no clouds with fresh snow on the slopes. It had been snowing since Wednesday night until this morning. There is talk that a few more lifts will be open tomorrow and looking at these conditions I think this will happen. They were piste bashing into the bowl area and you can now ski all the way down to the village off the Chavannes Express chairlift. There is artificial snow half way down but its a good run from the top. They seemed to be having problems with the chair lift this morning but all sorted now. The slopes have become quieter as the New Year week holiday makers make their way back for the School term to start. Les Gets is now looking like a skiing village with white snow all around.
